Disc - Lapina. The disc and hub do the cutting and carry the load at the front of the opener, so worn parts here show up fast in seed placement and boot wear.

How to check for wear
Ground conditions, sowing speed and acres all drive how fast a disc wears, but the number to watch is diameter. Most operators replace around 17 inch — push on much past that and you risk poor seed placement and, worse, chewing out your boots to save a disc. Below 16 inch is a hard stop if you don't want to be buying boots too. Remember a smaller disc has to spin more times to cover the same ground, so wear accelerates as it shrinks. And always run bevel to the furrow, or it won't cut.
